Last night i had a dream that my mum and i had a huge huge screamy fight all through the house and it was even very slightly violent, and there was this other lady and she wanted to stop the fighting and she came out with a knife and we were like no no stop don’t be stupid and i thought she was going to kill mum but then she came over to me and said this will be better for everyone and then she slit my throat but only a little bit and really inexpertly so i didn’t die but the blood was coming out and i sort of had to hold my throat together and i remember how it felt holding my palm against it. and i told mum to call an ambulance, and my voice was really bizarre like a monster from underneath lots of mud. and at this point in my dream i thought about how it would make an interesting story or a play, except i decided that in that story or play i would make it so the throat-slitting killed me straight away. When I woke up I realised it wasn’t as amazing and intricate plot-wise as i thought it had been at the time. Oh well. Shit happens.
